AREA 6 – LANGUAGE OTHER THAN ENGLISH
Proficiency equivalent to two years of high school study in the same language can be satisfied with one of the following*:
1. Proficiency equivalent to two years of high school study in the same language with a grade of “C” or better |
2. A score of 3 or higher on the Foreign Language AP Exam or 5 or higher on the IB HL Exam |
3. Satisfactory score on the SAT II: Subject Test in languages other than English |
4. Satisfactory completion of two years of formal schooling at the sixth grade level or higher in an institution where the language of instruction is not English |
5. Verified competency by a CCC, CSU or UC faculty member with a UC IGETC Language Other than English Certification form. |
